Plums, marzipan, puff pastry and homemade ice cream. A new dessert we are trying out for the winter months it looked lovely going into the oven, sliced plums arranged on a circle of marzipan and puffy pastry base. It was one of Michel Roux Jr's recipes that we've tried but as you know with recipes like these, it hardly ever works properly first time. The taste was there, sweet hot tart with the cold creamy ice cream but it didn't look very appetising when it came out of the oven! A bit more tweeking is needed before we show you a photo but we can tell you now it's going to be worth the wait so watch this space!
